Like many adults, you may have picking up the guitar on your bucket list. Let me tell you my oldest student is 80 year old and she is playing everyday! It is great therapy for both mind and physical for your hands. Once you are playing, you will only wish you had made the decision to play guitar a long time ago! I will work with you all the way!

YES You can and I am a living proof! I have had arthritis surgery in both of my hands and play every day whether it be practice, performing or just having fun with the guitar! I have developed finger exercises for both hands to help you play guitar. All you have to do is take it slow and you will be playing in no time! Don't worry, if you get stuck I am here to guide you a long the way.

It is normal to see Guitar students frustrated from time to time. There could be different reasons for this. 

1.Maybe you don't have the time.  You can learn at your own pace. There's no rush. I can help you develop a practice schedule to get you in track.

2. Maybe you had a teacher that you just didn't click with. They seemed to talk over your head and not starting with the very basics. You leave the lesson scratching your head wondering "what did my teacher tell me to do?" I like to break things down to basics. As adults we are concerned more about playing my favorite song. I start my teaching, basic signature line and then move into basic chords. I like to keep it simple. Remember we are here to have fun and enjoy the music!

The quick answer is no. The Sun and Strum Guitar Course is design for adults to have FUN playing the guitar.You do you not have to take the time to learn complicated music theory to make your head swim. You will learn finger exercises to get your fingers moving. You will learn simple chords to learn songs quickly. If there is a difficult chord or difficult chord names, then I design a simpler way to play it so it doesn't stop you from learning the song. I call these my "Secret Chords". As we move down the road playing guitar, I will introduce some basic simple music theory to enhance your learning in fun way!
