Your guitar practice routine to start playing your favorite songs in 2 weeks:
Week 1: Practice Module 2-5
Week 2: Practice Module 6-9
Module 2
Let me introduce you to your new best friend! Learn about the parts of the guitar and what it's made of.
We will look at both acoustic and electric guitars.
Module 3
This module will teach you how to hold your guitar for the most comfort sitting and standing.
Module 4
Let's take a look at how to hold your pick and explore the different kind of picks. Try not to drop it ... but we all do from time to time.
Module 5
Here we will learn the names of the strings and some fun mnemonics to remember them by.
Module 6
Everyone who plays guitar from beginner to the highest professional must know how to tune their guitar. If it's not in tune it will not sound like music. We will go over how to tune and the different types of tuners.
Module 7
Nows it's time to learn how to fret your guitar. How to correctly place your fingers on the fretboard so you get the best sound and tone! It's all about having good, clear and clean sounding notes. We will then learn the "Crawl" finger exercise.
Module 8
OK, Now we will take what we learned from the last module and play our first rock signature lick ...Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple.
Module 9
Finally we will learn our first 2 chords E minor and the secret chord. Then we can play our first song Horse with No Name by the group America.
